The funding is part of the Community Building Partnerships program, a NSW Government initiative which aims to create more vibrant communities by supporting projects that deliver positive social, environmental, inclusive or recreational outcomes.

The Narrabri Community Radio received $19,028 to upgrade the station building in Barwan St, Narrabri, a much-needed development for the station.  Congratulations on securing the grant.  Lots of work goes into putting a grant submission together by the volunteer community.  So thank you to those that made this happen.  The funding will be used to build a meeting room for the radio staff that can then open up to a bigger area for community functions such as the Biggest Morning Tea.   2MaxFM provides a fantastic service to our region and this funding will help ensure they are a part of our community for years to come.  It is one of the largest community radio stations in the state and we are very lucky to have them.

Other projects funded in the North West include:

White Cliffs CWA Room - $10,000
Burren Junction Hall - $33,000
Lower Lachlan Community Emergency Response Catering Trailer Shed - $5,220
